I love this. In a situation that you cannot have a bag in your hands or on your back this is perfect!
Now just don’t over charge for them and make it a win – win!
    Thumbs Up!

Your right, not sure what something like this would cost you.

nice idea but it will be too bulky i feel, it’s not the sort of thing you can just wander around in without sweating profusely and jungle jangling or rusting as you walk

This is cool. Would this have to be made or could it be purchased?

I would buy one for each member of the family. If they worked out well, we would keep them in stock at our charity for crisis.

It looks like a very well thought out idea. It DOES seem a bit bulky in the details, but a look at the 5.11 Torrent Jacket might help. The Torrent is a plain looking jacket with PALS webbing inside. Back to the BugOut Jacket, the only difficult part in my own mind might be the fleece sleeping bag. Hot and bulky, but that said, I would love to see how it might be done. Go brother!

check out scottevest[dot]com. they have numerous jackets and vests that have 20+ pockets, designed to hang well, not be bulky, and special areas to run your headphone wires. Great product, I have several.

I love what you are doing with the jacket. Has lots of potential. Just a couple of points. If the weather is that cold would it not be better if all the internal pockets were on the outside to save losing body heat from opening the jacket to get items etc. And have you thought about using thermal material for the sleeping bag (thermal underwear) it retains heat and is very light weight and roll up a lot smaller than fleece. Just my thoughts. Keep up the good work.
    Steve.

i think its a really nice design but with the velcro lined sleeping bag but i could see a problem with it folding up and not being long enough also the pockets with tools ect. there would bee lumps in your jacket as well as the pillow having to fold down other than that its an awsome design
