With fall here, I can’t help but think of camping and the majesty of the Great Outdoors!
Being from Southern California, I miss being able to escape to the mountains and doing a day-hike 45-minutes from home, or spending the weekend enjoying primitive camping with dutch-oven meals and stories of youthful mischief.
In celebration of this beautiful season, here are three savory recipes for your oiled-up, cast-iron legacy…the trusty Dutch Oven.
Interestingly enough, not all “dutch-ovens” are created the same. And I’ve come to learn that dutch-oven cooking isn’t limited to charcoal briquettes and the outdoors. More on that in a future article.
