I’ve accepted the fact that I’m never going to be a “perfect” parent. In fact, I know that it doesn’t exist.
OK, now that I’ve got that confession out of the way, I found today’s article interesting for a couple of reasons:
- At times, I need to be reminded that my kids are simply kids. Expecting behavior that really comes with maturity is not realistic. I’m going to improve on letting my kids enjoy being kids.
- I’ve recently fallen back into the device-distracted-dad trap. I’ll turn my devices off and “BE HERE NOW” with my family when I get home from work.
