Lifetime Warranty by The Berkey Guy

Our Exclusive Lifetime warranty for Berkey Water Filtration Systems ensures replacement of all Berkey canisters, spigots, washers, and wing nuts that fail due to faulty materials or workmanship. These items may be returned to us and we will send you new replacement items. There is no need to register with us; this warranty applies to any system purchased on our web site at www.directive21.com or over the phone on or after January 1, 2011.

This warranty does not cover damage caused by carelessness, accidents, or abuse of the system. Filters have a separate warranty. This Exclusive Lifetime warranty exists in addition to all other stated warranties on Berkey Systems and takes effect at the expiration of the manufacturer's warranty.

To take advantage of your lifetime warranty on Berkey canisters, spigots, washers, or wing nuts, contact us at 877-886-3653. If possible, please have your receipt handy. Once you have reported the issue, you will be asked to ship the damaged parts to us. We will process the claim and, if it’s approved, ship the replacement parts to you at no cost to you (to lower 48 states). All shipping will be at the customer’s expense.

All other items have a manufacturer’s warranty of at least 90 days, and some are up to a year. If an item breaks due to a manufacturer defect, please call us at 877-886-3653.

Do Berkey® Water Purification Systems Have a manufacturer’s Warranty?

Yes, the Berkey® Water Purification Systems do hold a manufacturer’s warranty (see below). As an Authorized Dealer of Berkey® Water Purification products, please contact us if you believe your Berkey® product might require warranty service with the manufacturer. If it appears that you do need warranty service, we will direct you to contact New Millennium Concepts, Ltd. directly and provide the appropriate documentation (Download Form HERE) and they will be able to support your warranty claim.

What is the Warranty on Berkey® Products?

New Millennium Concepts, Ltd. stands behind their products and offers direct-warranty service with customers of all Authorized Dealers of their Berkey® products.
The Black Berkey® purification elements have a two-year prorated warranty calculated in six months intervals. Their guarantee is prorated similar to the guarantee on tire tread. In other words, if you have used the filter elements for six months, 75% of the guarantee still applies and so you can get a replacement set for 25% of the normal cost. It is recommended that customers inspect and test their Berkey® products upon receipt, prior to placing them into storage. This will ensure that the items are performing as designed within the warranty period.

The Berkey® systems themselves and their components have a six-month warranty as stated below.

General Warranty Information

New Millennium Concepts, Ltd. warrants this product to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 6 months from date of purchase. Black Berkey® purification elements have a two-year prorated warranty calculated in six months intervals. New Millennium Concepts, Ltd. will replace or repair any product that it deems is not properly functioning during the stated warranty period. Relief under this warranty is limited to the replacement or repair of defective materials or workmanship only. New Millennium Concepts, Ltd. shall not be held liable for incidental or consequential damage to personal property from, but not limited to, a defective unit, improper use, abuse, accident, or neglect, etc. No warranty will apply to units which have been used for purposes not intended, which have been altered so as, in the manufacturers judgment, to affect adversely its performance. This warranty is for the original retail purchaser only, and cannot be transferred. Repair or replacement of parts will be made upon delivery to manufacturer's plant or authorized service dealer at customer's expense. The laws of the State of Texas, USA, will govern any disputes regarding this warranty or claim made. This warranty, which is given expressly in lieu of all warranties, expressed or implied, or merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, constitutes the only warranty made by New Millennium Concepts, Ltd.

Country Living Grain Mill

WARRANTY: This warranty is a Limited Warranty as defined in the Consumer Product Warranty and the Federal Trade Commission Improvement Act. It gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights that vary from state to state.

LENGTH: Country Living Products warrants this Country Living Grain Mill to be free from defects in material and workmanship under NORMAL USE and conditions for the lifetime of the original owner which includes all parts, excluding the finish. The grinding plates are warrantied for a period of one (1) year from the original date of purchase. This warranty is voided during this period if the mill is used in any way other than recommended, is motorized by anything other than the kit manufactured by Country Living Products, run without grain in the hopper, or used commercially.

REGISTRATION: The Warranty Registration Card must be completed and mailed to Country Living Products, 14727 56th Ave. NW, Stanwood, Washington 98292, within fifteen (15) days from the date of purchase. This proof of purchase, along with purchase date, must be on file when requesting warranty service.

WARRANTY CLAIMS: You must receive verbal or written authorization from Country Living Products to return the mill, plates, or any defective part. This can be obtained by writing or calling us at the address or phone number included with these instructions. Returned mills or mill parts must be shipped freight prepaid to an authorized service center specified by Country Living Products. The return shipping cost to the consumer will be the responsibility of Country Living Products.

SHIPPING DAMAGE: Damage due to shipping should be reported immediately to the carrier and the Authorized Dealer from whom it was purchased. Damage caused in shipping is not the responsibility of Country Living Products or LPC Survival, Ltd. and must be reported to LPC Survival, Ltd. immediately upon receipt.

SERVICE: The company will repair or, at its discretion, replace the Grain Mill or mill parts free of charge if, in the opinion of the company or its authorized agents, it has been proven the problem was related to defective parts or an error in workmanship within the warranty period.

LIMITATIONS: The warranty is void if the product is used for any other purpose than that for which it is designed or intended. The product must not be altered, repaired or serviced by anyone other than the company or an authorized service center. The product must not have been subject to accident in transit or, while in the customer's possession, misused, abused or operated contrary to the instructions contained in the instruction manual. This includes failure caused by neglect, commercial use and Acts of God. This warranty is not transferable and applies only to United States and Canadian sales. Warranty is void if the mill is used to grind grain soaked with an ash or slaked lime solution.

EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES: Except to the extent prohibited by law, no other warranties whether expressed or implied, including warranty merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, shall apply to this product. Under no circumstances shall Country Living Products be liable for consequential damages sustained in connection with said product and Country Living Products neither assumes nor authorizes any representative or other person to assume for it any obligation or liability other than such as is expressly set forth. This warranty covers only the Country Living Grain Mill and its specific parts, not the food or other products processed in it.

Volcano Stove

Volcano Grills are covered be a one (1) year limited manufacturers warranty. The warranty is active from the original date of purchase and protects against any manufacturing or material defects (excluding paint). During this period of time, manufacturer will correct any defects or flaws associated with your cookstove by replacing or repairing defective parts. Freight charges will be the responsibility of the customer.  Manufacturer will not be responsible for repair of replacement of equipment which has been misused, abused or altered. This product is warranted to perform as described in its labeling and Volcano Corporation literature. Volcano Corporation disclaims any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness of a particular purpose and in no event shall Volcano Corporation be liable for consequential damages. Prior approval and a return of goods authorization (RGA) number are required for all returned merchandise. Any returned merchandise must be accompanied by a copy of the original purchase receipt.
