HERE'S A WEEKEND DIY PROJECT FOR YOU

We love DIY projects.  We came across this and thought it might be suited for a quick surprise gift for that someone special or an easy upgrade to turn a ho-hum space into something special.   This one seems pretty easy and looks like you could really make this bookcase project your own depending on  the style of bookcase you use, the paint color and the original fabric you choose.

We wanted a  furniture DIY project that requires minimal skill that could be completed start to finish on a weekend.  This looked like it might be the ticket!  Try this diy bookcase project and send us a before after image.

This can be applied to any old shelving unit with some imagination or you can buy a plain stock bookcase and dress it up to end up with something beautiful.

Here are the items you will need:

Items needed:
  • 4 short legs of choice, plus plates
  • Paint of choice
  • Wax or top coat of choice
  • Fabric of choice to go on back behind shelving
  • Measuring tape
  • Sharp Scissors and Box Cutter
  • Spray Adhesive, and small rolling pin or something to smooth out fabric
I purchased this basic bookshelf at my local Goodwill store for $5.
